Located in the heart of Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Côte des Blancs region, this family-run winery was founded in 1951. In 1994, it was passed on from founder Yves Pertois to his son Dominique Pertois, who in 2006 took over the business, and now his son-in-law Vincent Bouchet has been running it ever since. Currently, Pertois-Morisét owns 13.4 hectares of vineyards in the Côte des Blancs region and 7.3 hectares in Cézanne.
Now, Vincent Bouchet has begun a new initiative to maximize the potential of the ingredients owned by Pertois Morissé. As a high-quality récoltant-manipulant in the Menil region, it has attracted attention both locally and internationally.
The current winemaker, Vincent Bouchet, has started the following initiatives to further evolve Pertois Morissé. 1) He has joined the Champagne winemaker group Club Trésor/Special Club, and is working to improve the quality by exchanging opinions with the winemakers of the Récoltant-Manipulant. 2) For the normal Blanc de Blancs, grapes from only four locations, Mesnil, Cramant, Chouilly, and Oger, will be used, although previously the vineyards were not specified. In particular, grapes from Chétillon will be used generously in Mesnil to improve the quality. 3) For some of the top quality parcels, they will start bottling each parcel. 4) Previously, all fermentation and aging was done in stainless steel tanks, but some cuvées have started to use barrels. Please look forward to Vincent Bouchet's new challenge and the future of the new Pertois Morissé.
