Garnet in color. Aromas of black cherries, warm blackcurrants, rich soil, and smoked meat. Full-bodied and powerful, with a layered texture. A firm structure and a long, spicy finish. The soil is a chocolate-like clay with high water retention, which has the effect of cooling the vines moderately. In the latter half of the summer, the grapes grow their roots deep into the soil, searching for moisture through cracks in the dry, cracked soil. The minerality that is unique to Cayley Morgan comes from the moisture that the grapes absorb from deep in the soil. 100% from our own vineyards, 100% Cabernet.

Sauvignon. All of Hundred Acres' wines are hand-selected, fermented in small French containers, and aged for a long time in the finest barrels. Hundred Acres' wines are made with attention to detail and without compromise. 2019 is a special vintage, marking the 20th anniversary of the start of production at Kaylee Morgan Vineyards. This vineyard was originally named after my daughter Morgan, but to commemorate the 20th anniversary, we will rename it "Morgan's Way". This is both an expression of love for Morgan and proof that Morgan's presence in my mind has increased even more in recent years. It is no exaggeration to say that 2019 is the best vintage ever, and it is shockingly wonderful. Due to the wildfires that hit Napa Valley, there was no production of the 2020 vintage, so it can be said that the 2019 vintage helped us. Morgan's Way (formerly Cary Morgan) is located at the foot of Howell Mountain, a short distance north of the town of St. Helena. It is a vineyard that Jason has a special attachment to, having purchased it in 2000 for the highest price ever paid for a vineyard planted there. Prior to purchasing the vineyard, Jason had visited the site many times,

This is a vineyard where we are confident that we can produce wines that will be recognized worldwide. Six weeks after we purchased the vineyard, we actually harvested the grapes and succeeded in earning a high score. The wine is aged for a minimum of 30 months in carefully selected, top-quality French oak barriques. The barrel stalks are selected with an emphasis on fine grain and are naturally dried for three years.

We only use grapes that have been fermented. Hundred Acres is a boutique winery in Napa Valley founded in 1998 (at the age of 36) by Jason Woodbridge, who made a fortune at a young age during his time as an investment banker. Jason has established a "0 or 100" policy, strongly believes that "if it is not of the highest quality, there is no point in doing it," and produces "perfect" Cabernet Sauvignon without any compromise. Hundred Acres is not a wine made by striving for "perfection," but an ultra-premium wine brewed with the utmost care, with "perfection" as the basic premise. The grapes that grow in each field are harvested by hand in multiple batches according to the progress of aging. After harvest, the grapes are thoroughly selected by hand, fermented, pressed, and aged separately for each harvest time, plot, and field. The French oak used at Hundred Acres is only fine-grained wood from specific forests, and only high-spec barrels are used, which are naturally dried for at least three years and then toasted. All wines are aged for at least 30 months, and only those that Jason deems perfect are bottled and released. Of course, wines that are not "perfect" are not released in the first place.
