This is the kind of wine Winston Churchill would drink while laughing at dictators and fools. It's very rich in color and flavor, so it's not a wine for the faint-hearted. If you're looking for a light table wine, I recommend something else.

Of course, this wine is great on its own, but it is also great to enjoy with a meal, and it is also great for making love. 2018 was a wonderful and solid year that deserves great respect. Just thinking about this year makes me smile more and more, and it is no exaggeration to say that it was probably the best year ever. The grapes are harvested from small family-run vineyards, some of which are now managed by the 3rd or 4th generation and cultivated with great care. The magical fruit harvested from these vineyards, some of which are 80 years old, is finally made into Fortunate Sun wine. Fortunate Sun is a brand that Jason Woodbridge, the owner of Hundred Acres, known as the "100-point king," has re-released after 10 years. It has been a quarter century since he made his debut as the owner and winemaker of Hundred Acres. For Jason, Fortunate Sun became a wine that reminded him of the inspiring emotions he had forgotten for many years. Fortunate Sun's concept is to make wine from vineyards pioneered by Napa's pioneers and, using Jason's time, skill and knowledge, bring to the world high-quality wines they never imagined.

Jason says:

"Humans are creatures who make bold decisions, negotiate and dream big. Fortunate Sun is the very embodiment of the dreams of humanity.

It is a revival of the Fortunate Sun brand that I released in the past, and when you taste it, you will know without a doubt that it is a wine I made.

This is a way of giving back and thanking the Hundred Acres fans who have been waiting for a long time for the revival of Fortunate Sun, which suddenly came to an end. It is a fascinating wine like Hundred Acres, but it is not the same wine.

We hope you enjoy this powerful wine, which has been made with more honesty and seriousness than ever before. "Spirits of Fortunate Sun

Jason has paid tribute to the great men who came before him in his wines. The pioneers of Napa Valley were the miners who arrived in California in the mid-1800s in search of gold. A few of them became very wealthy, but many of them had to make a living as farmers or other workers. The glory of such pioneers as HW Crabb, George C Yount, Charles Krug, and George Beldan Crane is a testament to their hard work and tenacity in the face of poverty to survive for their families.

David Fulton was one of them, and he arrived in Napa Valley in 1860 and began cultivating grapes. Fulton's vines, known for their high quality, are said to have been used as cuttings for the original Crane Vineyard in 1865. Until 2020, it had flourished as a family-run winery in Napa for over 150 years. In June 2020, Jason purchased this winery and vineyard, filled with the frontier spirit, and it was reborn as the new home of Fortunate Sun.
