In 1982, he reclaimed the Turck vineyard, which is said to be the vineyard that revived Cote Rotie, and replanted the vines. At the same time, he purchased the Clos de Cuminaille vineyard in 1981 and the Cote Rotie Rogier vineyard in 1982, and established the Domaine. In 1986, Vidal Fleury was acquired by Guigal, and Gaillard left the company that year after finishing the fermentation of Turck to focus on the Domaine. This is a pioneer of the new generation of Domaines in the Rhone region, which received high praise upon its first release in 1985. The Domaine owns spacious vineyards and a winery equipped with modern facilities. Using the lutte raisonnée method, the Domaine aims to produce wines that combine the concentrated fruitiness of the Rhone region with the delicate and elegant flavors of Burgundy in good vintages.
