The company owns seven plots in the north (Condrieu, Chavanay), centre (Malval) and south (Limony).
Yield: 30hl/ha. Planting density: 10,000-12,000 bottles/ha. Barrel fermentation. Aged in barrels (10% new barrels) for 7-8 months. Pierre Gaillard aspired to be a winemaker and joined Vidal Fleury in 1981. In 1982, he cultivated the Turck vineyard, which is said to be the vineyard that revived Cote Rotie, and replanted the vines. At the same time, he purchased the Clos de Cuminaille vineyard in 1981 and the Cote Rotie Rogier vineyard in 1982, and established the Domaine. In 1986, Vidal Fleury was acquired by Guigal, and Gaillard left the company that year after finishing the fermentation of Turck, and devoted himself to the Domaine. He is a pioneer of the new generation of Domaines in the Rhone, which received high praise upon its first release in 1985. The Domaine owns a large vineyard with ample space to keep an eye on it, and a winery equipped with modern facilities. We practice the lutte raisonnée method and aim to produce wines that combine the concentrated fruitiness typical of the Rhone region with the delicate and elegant flavors of Burgundy from a good year.
