Located south of Clarksburg, this Reserve Chardonnay from Sutter Ranch embodies all the characteristics that this region's Chardonnays are famous for: complexity, richness and concentration in each glass.

Harvested during the cool hours of the night, whole Chardonnay grapes were lightly pressed to extract the juicy juice, minimizing contact with the skins and seeds.

The aroma of spicy nutmeg and freshly baked brioche tickles the senses while the fresh, healthy juiciness of Golden Delicious apples and Bartlett pears shines through.

Each barrel is hand stirred twice a month to enhance the rich, silky mouthfeel and leave a luscious finish of browned butter and cream.

It pairs beautifully with roast chicken and vegetables, soft, mild cheeses and richly sauced pasta dishes.

Bogle, a company known throughout the United States, has been farming in Clarksburg, California, near Sacramento, for six generations.

It has been more than 50 years since the third generation first planted Chenin Blanc and Petite Sirah as wine grapes here.

The family's hard work, honesty and dedication have been passed down to the sixth generation, and the winery has grown into one of America's leading wineries.

No matter how big they get, their passion for wine growing and the quality of their wines remain the same, with the whole family working together to produce great wines.

The fact that they have many fans in Japan who say that no matter which variety they drink, it's always delicious is proof that they continue to uphold the will of their predecessors.

And now, their new job is to "continue to protect the land and the environment so that the next six generations can continue to live in the same place.

" and supports the transition to sustainable agriculture not only in our own fields but also in our contracted fields throughout California.
