A superb product that won a platinum medal at the world's largest fiercely contested wine competition! I would love to have that taste for you...
Won a platinum medal in 2019 at the Decanter World Wine Awards, one of the world's largest wine competitions. In 2019, only 0.8% of the 15,000+ wines submitted were platinum medal winners. Founded in 1948 by André Chemin in the village of Sacy, a few kilometers from Reims. At that time, a 12-hour car endurance race was held in Reims, and after watching the race, Parisians visited wineries and left with champagne in their hands. Taking this opportunity, a small-scale winery business that produces champagne was started, and a management foundation was created. One of them, André Chemin, runs a completely independent family business, now run by the third generation, Sebastien Chemin and his wife Eva. And since its establishment 70 years ago, we have been proposing ways to enjoy life and know-how unique to France. The village of Sacy, where André Chemin is located, is in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. Unlike other regions, Champagne is graded by village, and Sacy Village is rated Premier Cru. The village of Sacy is not only located in the historic land of Champagne, but also famous for producing excellent quality Pinot Noir, ideal for sun and soil. The vineyard consists of 6.5 hectares, an annual production of about 55,000 bottles, the best Pinot Noir and a little Chardonnay. In 2015, we reformed the grape cultivation, and we are making champagne that is friendly to people and the environment. We have obtained High Environmental Value (HEV) and Viticulture Durable certification from the Haute Valeur Environmentale, an environmental value-oriented certification by the French Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
A foundation champagne from André Chemin, made from 100% Pinot Noir and representing 70 years of experience. A rich and complex champagne with fresh acidity and a long finish. This André Chemin champagne is the true signature product of a family House located in the heart of the Reims mountains. It is blended from 100% Pinot Noir, the emblematic grape variety of this Champagne region.
This cuvee has a concentration of 5.33g of sugar per liter, which makes it similar to extra-brut wines while preserving the sweetness of the brut champagnes that everyone appreciates.
Its roundness, freshness and length make it a perfect Champagne for any occasion.
