A luxurious casual Bordeaux made with the utmost care by the master of Chateau d'Yquem and Chateau Cheval Blanc. Named after Pierre Lurton himself, this brand was created with confidence as a wine that will open a new door to Bordeaux. Made with passion for wine and respect for the terroir, the label features a door knocker, a symbol of Bordeaux, that was designed on the door of Pierre's birthplace chateau. The design is meant to be a "new door to Bordeaux" and to express "nostalgia for his hometown, Bordeaux". Why not take a "new step" with this wine? The flavors of lemon, boxwood, lychee and mango spread out in a gorgeous way. The texture is smooth when you put it in your mouth. The fine acidity and mellow body give the wine a lingering taste of dignity and elegance, with a refreshing citrus fruit flavor and nuances of honey and white pepper. Pierre Lurton is the owner of Château Cheval Blanc, the top of the Saint-Emilion classification, which is a first special class A wine, and Château d'Yquem, the world's best noble rot wine, which is the only Sauternes wine to be awarded the title of first special class. Known as one of the most talented winemakers who oversees two top chateaux, Pierre has poured all of his experience and skills into creating a wine that bears his name. The Lurton family, to which Pierre was born, is one of the most prestigious families in Bordeaux. The family's history began in 1897 when they established Chateau Bonnet in Claisillac, about 20km south of Saint-Emilion. Later, they also started Chateau Marjosse in the same Claisillac. Claisillac is the birthplace of the Lurton family, who started their wine business. The hilly area of Claisillac is underground, with bedrock that continues from Saint-Emilion, and the soil is very similar to that of the south side of Saint-Emilion. Pierre, who knows this area well, selected five parcels that are particularly excellent for grape cultivation and produces the wine that bears his name, "Pierre Lurton". The vineyards are about 40 hectares in size. The soil is a mixture of clay and pebbles. The average age of the vines is about 20 years. Currently, three people, cellar master Stephane Guyony, cultivation manager Pierre Dupas, and winemaker Pascal Bousevin, are working with Pierre Lurton to make wine. The label features the door knocker, a symbol of Bordeaux, which was designed on the door of the chateau where Pierre Lurton was born. The design is imbued with the meaning of "a new door to Bordeaux" and the feeling of "nostalgia for his hometown, Bordeaux". Passionate about great wines, respectful of terroir, Pierre has made this wine with confidence, bearing his own name, as a wine that will open a new door to Bordeaux.
