Owning its own vineyards represents a connection to the land and guarantees quality. That is why Langlois strictly manages its 62 hectares in the magnificent wine-growing region of Saumur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The House's team crafts wines according to the characteristics of each terroir. To perfect its Premium Crémant Brut, the House does not purchase must or wine. A rare presence in the Loire, the House sources its raw materials only from trusted wine growers. This bold commitment allows the House to control its winemaking and maintain the highest quality. ■Commitment to nature
Langlois has been a member of the Terra Vitis Charter since 2000, advocating a more responsible viticulture. In fact, its entire vineyard was one of the first wineries to receive the charter for environmental, social and economic sustainable development. Faithful to its philosophy of excellence and independence, it is committed to a constant effort to improve. As a result of this ongoing commitment, 30 hectares of vineyards have been converted to organic farming since 2020, and the remaining 32 hectares will begin to be converted to organic farming in 2022. The goal is to produce all Crémant de Loire with certified organic grapes by 2025. The House is also aware of the responsibility it owes to the region and devotes the same energy to supporting the conversion of its winegrower partners, through the sharing of experiences, financial support and visibility of purchase prices. The heartbeat of the Chenin-Langlois style
Chenin from the Loire Valley is naturally the foundation of the enduring identity of Langlois Crémant de Loire. Grown in the Loire Valley since the 10th century, Chenin stands out for its great elegance. As Chenin specialists, the House enhances the flavours of Chenin by meticulously working with traditional methods and by allowing the blended wines to age for an extended period on the lees (sur lees). This attention to detail is what gives the Langlois style its character.
