The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of dark cocoa, red berries and dried herbs.

The taste is full of fruit with subtle hints of spice and leather.

The tannins are refined, very harmonious and well balanced with a long finish.

The 2019 growing season saw ample rainfall which helped keep the soil moist for long periods of time.

A long, warm summer with little abnormal heat and cool, misty mornings provided the conditions for lively, expressive wines.

Relatively mild weather, which continued late into the season, provided the growing time that allowed for impressive colour, structure and tannins, helping to preserve the grapes' freshness and balance.

2019 is a fantastic vintage, with well-balanced acidity, concentrated texture and great depth.

Our wines are sourced from grapes carefully selected from vineyards throughout Napa Valley, from our contract partners' vineyards on small, undulating slopes to our own organic vineyards.

By blending multiple lots, we are able to clearly express the complex characteristics of the Napa Valley landscape.

The 2019 vintage is a blend of 75 unique lots from 26 vineyards.

Katherine Hall's first experience working with wine was working on her family's vineyards in Mendocino.

It was from this time that she realised she wanted to create a place in the future where fine wine, art and artistic architecture could come together.

Hall Wines is that dream come true: a Napa Valley destination winery offering exceptional wine in a contemporary setting.

The winery's site in St. Helena, purchased by Catherine and her husband Craig Hall in 2003, was previously home to a Napa Valley cooperative brewery.

At the time, this was where 40% of Napa Valley's entire wine production was produced.

It is known that Bergfeld Winery was located here before the Prohibition era, making this a location with over 150 years of history in Napa Valley, a famous wine-producing region.

After serving as U.S. Ambassador to Austria during the Clinton Administration, Catherine officially launched her winery, Whole St. Helena, in July 2013.

In the same year, renovation of the 1885 barn that had remained since the Bergfeld Winery era, construction of a gravity-fed winery and a state-of-the-art visitor center were completed, and the winery became the first California winery to achieve LEED Gold certification (a rating for environmental performance of buildings and cities).

All of the winery's 150+ hectares of vineyards are CCOF certified organic.

We use cutting-edge technology and environmentally friendly cultivation techniques to create wines that reflect the soil and climate of Napa Valley.

Vice President Steve LeVeck is in charge of winemaking, and the Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc he produces are known as the "face of the winery," expressing the true essence of Napa Valley.

In the past, Steve's 2013 and 2010 Hall Exzellenz Red and 2013 Rainin Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (both not yet imported into Japan) have received 100 points from Robert Parker.

The hall's theme is "CARE," an acronym for Community, Arts, Responsible Business Practices, and Entrepreneurship. In addition to its commitment to producing the finest wines, the hall is committed to creating desirable organizations in society through community and the arts.

The organization actively engages in fundraising in collaboration with local governments, investing in local artists, and supporting the activities of Napa Valley entrepreneurs through the Craig and Kathryn Hall Foundation.

While the wines are produced in Napa Valley, which boasts absolute consistency, they are also highly trusted by their employees and the community, making them a first-class family-run winery from any angle.

The large rabbit that is also depicted on the label and is displayed prominently at the entrance to the winery is a symbol of fertility and prosperity.
