Selected from various vineyards in Napa Valley (mainly Oakville, Stags Leap District, and Mount Veeder). The aroma of ripe red cherries, blueberries, and pomegranates is mixed with nuances of paprika, iron, and vanilla beans, and when you put it in your mouth, it has a rich red and blue fruit flavor, blackberry compote, dark chocolate, and espresso flavor. It is full-bodied, has a sour taste that goes well with food, and a long-lasting aftertaste.
Story & Tasting Notes
Double Diamond, which has earned high praise for its Cabernet Sauvignon, has released a new proprietary red wine from the 2021 vintage. It explores the possibilities of red wine by blending Cabernet Sauvignon with Bordeaux varieties. It maintains high quality and dignity thanks to the skills of winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, who mainly sources wine from the winery's own vineyards in Oakville, Stags Leap District, and Mount Veeder, which are sourced by Schrader, Double Diamond, and Mount Veeder Winery.
Made from 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, and 24% Cabernet Franc, this wine offers aromas of mixed berry compote, crushed ivy, iron, and vanilla beans. It is full-bodied and rich with flavors of ripe black fruit, spices, dark chocolate, and espresso, with silky tannins, food-friendly acidity, and a long, lingering finish.
