7ha, 20 plots (Malval, Chavanay). Yield 35hl/ha. 100% destemmed. Granite soil. Field work is done primarily by hand. The goal is to harvest grapes in good condition and at full maturity in order to express the terroir. Yield and canopy management, as well as work to improve ventilation around the grape clusters are practiced.

To express elegance, the grapes are completely destemmed and then cold maceration is performed to bring out the fruitiness. The temperature is raised to 30°C and the grapes are soaked before fermentation.

Then, it is MLFed in barriques. The wine is extracted gently, giving it a finely textured tannin. It is aged in oak barrels for 15 months. No new barrels are used. Pierre Gaillard aspired to be a winemaker and joined Vidal Fleury in 1981. In 1982, he cultivated the Turck vineyard, which is said to be the vineyard that revived Cote Rotie, and replanted the grape trees. At the same time, he purchased the Clos de Cuminaille vineyard in 1981 and the Cote Rotie Rogier vineyard in 1982, and established the Domaine. In 1986, Vidal Fleury was acquired by Guigal, and Gaillard left the company that year after finishing the brewing of Turck, and devoted himself to the Domaine. He is a pioneer of the new generation of Domaines in the Rhone, which received high praise upon its first release in 1985. The company owns a large vineyard with ample space to keep an eye on, and a winery equipped with modern facilities. We practice the lutte raisonnée method and aim to produce wines that combine the concentrated fruitiness typical of the Rhone region with the delicate and elegant flavors of Burgundy from a good year.
