The village of Saint-Laurent. The soil is a thick layer of sandstone over a limestone subsoil. This is the second wine of Château Belgrave, a fifth-growth class. The building was originally built around 1815 as a hunting pavilion during the reign of Louis XIV, and in 1845 the owner at the time gave it the name "Belgrave". Located on the border with Saint-Julien, this chateau is surrounded by Château Lagrange (third-growth), Château Talbot (fourth-growth), and Château Camensac (fifth-growth), and the limestone subsoil is covered with gravel, giving it the characteristics of Saint-Julien. The ferret depicted on the label was an animal used for hunting at the time, and "Diane" represents the name of the Roman goddess of the hunt.
