Submission has released a premium Cabernet made entirely from grapes from Napa Valley.

Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (25% new).

Blackberry, ripe blueberry, dark chocolate and a hint of vanilla. Powerful and full-bodied, with deep dark fruit flavors and velvety smooth tannins for a rich and gentle finish.

Submission is 689 Cellars' newest offering and is a joint venture between Premier Wine Group, which produces wines primarily in Napa Valley and the Sonoma North Coast region, and long-time Napa Valley winemaker Kent Rasmussen.

In Chinese culture, 6, 8, and 9 are considered lucky numbers, and the owner of 689 Cellars had many experiences while traveling in Asia that made him think that this was true, so he named the winery after them. The logo shows each number overlapping with the others, connecting the different elements in a balanced way to create a harmony. 6 represents happiness, 8 represents wealth and abundance, and in Chinese culture, 9 represents longevity and eternal life, and as the last number in the single digits, it is considered the luckiest number.

689 Cellars places great importance on the cost performance of their wines, and thanks to their many years of experience in California, they have deep relationships with growers throughout California and are able to obtain high-quality grapes. Therefore, people who drink their wines feel that this quality is a wine from an AVA that produces particularly excellent grapes. The wines of "Submission" are made using grapes not only from Napa Valley and Sonoma, but also from Paso Robles and Monterey. In addition, the wines are aged not in stainless steel tanks, but in French oak barrels, of which 30% are new barrels.
