Rudd's Oakville Estate's Best Cabernet Sauvignon
The red wine vineyards are located on the east side of Oakville, almost in the middle of the famous vineyards. Screaming Eagle, Bond's St. Eden, Dalla Vallee, Peter Michael's Haut Paradis, Joseph Phelps' Bacchus, etc. Diverse grapes from three different soils. Organically grown. Using several types of fermentation tanks, aged for 22 months in French barrels (58% new barrels). The red soil, rich in iron, gives the wine nuances of charcuterie and red meat, as well as tobacco, cigars, and spiciness, and the wine has a full body and concentrated tannins.
Vintage Information
The 2018 vintage was a model year for Napa Valley, perfect in terms of quality and quantity after the difficult 2017 vintage.
There was plenty of rain throughout the winter and spring, and a mild early summer with ample sunshine and no heat waves, allowing the cultivation team to exercise adequate care, and the grapes were harvested at the optimal time, in multiple batches, depending on their sugar content and ripeness.
The grapes turned out excellent.
The harvest began on September 19th and took place in 10 batches over 16 days.

Tasting Comments
The first aroma is a deep, dark purple hue with an alluring hint of blackberry pie.
Fresh blueberries, black cherries, licorice, wild herbs (garrigues) and more.
Its main features are its smoothness, softness, flavorful tannins, and abundance of lively fruit when put in the mouth, with a concentrated core of individuality.
This is a major element of Rudd's own vineyards - a characteristic of the volcanic sedimentary soil - and the nuances of red soil rich in iron, which are layered on top of the wine's clean acidity.
Rudd's flagship wine is full of earth, iron and Oakville character.
