Located at the foot of Mount Veeder just northwest of Napa City. It has a lot of rocks and gravel, but also a certain amount of clay, so it has water retention, and is close to the bay, where a cool breeze blows. Aged for 20 months in French barrels (75% new barrels). Deep color, black currant, blackberry, pencil lead, wet rock, and fresh herbs are fragrant. Full-bodied with various elements overlapping, lively acidity, firm tannins, dark chocolate, and pepper nuances linger on the finish.

Technical information

Winemaking: Aged for 20 months in French barrels (after 10 months of aging, the best lot is selected and aged for another 10 months) 75% new barrels

Field Information

Purity & Elegance/Pure fruit and elegant taste

Red Hen Vineyards: Managed by Silverado Farming Company.

Soil and Climate: Located just northwest of Napa, at the foot of Mount Veeder. The alluvial soil, which is rich in rocks and gravel, has good drainage and also has water retention due to the presence of a certain amount of clay.

The tree vigor is moderately controlled, resulting in an optimal balance of fruit concentration.

Being close to the bay and receiving cool breezes gives the wine an elegant and delicate fruitiness.
