Excellent water retention, and the large temperature changes between morning and evening, produce excellent tannins from the thick skins. Aged for 20 months in French barrels (75% new barrels). Expresses the powerful characteristics of St. Helena, with a deep wine red color and a burst of black berries, plums, cinnamon and nutmeg. Rich and full-bodied with ripe tannins and mineral elements. Strong acidity.
Technical information
The best lot is selected after approximately 10 months of aging in French barrels, and then aged for a further 10 months in barrels (approximately 20 months in total, 75% new barrels), and then aged in bottles for approximately 6 months before being released.

2019 is an ideal vintage, with powerful St. Helena character being expressed.
Deep wine red in color, with a burst of black berry, plum and baking spice aromas (cinnamon and nutmeg).
Rich and full-bodied with ripe tannins and mineral elements.
The acidity is also well-present, bringing the whole thing together.

It has excellent water retention and the temperature changes between morning and evening are drastic, making it ideal growing conditions for Bordeaux grape varieties.
The thick skins produce excellent tannins. Specially crafted.
