Aged 20 months in small oak barrels (100% new barrels). Located in the western hills of St. Helena, the vineyard is on a well-drained, gentle slope that has been cultivated by the Bartolucci family for three generations. The wine has aromas of ripe plum, blackberry, smoked black tea, and licorice, with luxurious tannins.
Technical information
Harvest: The harvest took place over eight days, starting on September 25th, five days later than the previous year, and the grapes were delivered to the winery in high quality.
Brewing and aging: The grapes were fermented for 20 to 28 days, then pressed and aged for 20 months in French barrels (100% new).
Tasting Comments
Aromas of cherry, berry and plum are characteristic of Bartolucci Vineyards.
In addition, complex aromas emerge, such as vanilla from the oak and a variety of spices.
Rich red and black fruit flavours spread across the palate and the mouthfeel is silky smooth.
Rich, chewy and firm tannins are appealing.
