This flagship wine is made mostly from grapes from a single vineyard. The vineyards are located in the center of Napa, in a beautiful landscape, and the east-facing vineyards are cooler in the afternoon, allowing for longer fruit hang time control, producing the finest Cabernet. The result is a full-bodied Cabernet with gorgeous aromas.
Vintage Information
Spring and summer in 2020 were generally cool and mild, with heat waves in early August, the weekend of the first Monday in September, and in late September promoting grape ripening and accelerating the growth cycle, allowing many wineries to receive white wine varieties before the wildfires began.
Many red wine varieties were harvested earlier than normal, picking the grapes in advance of the fires in late September, allowing the red wines to be produced.
A thorough analysis of the impact of the smoke was conducted, and although production was lower than usual, only wines worthy of bearing Napa Valley on the label were bottled.

Technical information
The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected, without being destemmed or crushed, and only unbroken grapes are used. The weight of the fruit itself causes the bottom to crush, releasing the juice, and the yeast ferments. The carbonic maceration effect is achieved by the generation of CO2, resulting in a wine with little tannins but with a strong fruit flavor and well-extracted pigments.
Tasting Comments
It has a gorgeous black fruit, clove and mocha aroma. The taste of black cherry, blackberry and cassis is complicated by nuances of vanilla, chocolate and licorice, and the fine tannins, refined mouthfeel and impressive acidity from start to finish further enhance the appeal of this wine. We recommend decanting 1 hour before drinking.
Field Information
Ghost Block Vineyards
Located in a beautiful landscape, the soil, with exposed Tertiary volcanic rocks, produces the best Cabernet. The southeasterly exposure means morning and afternoon sun, and a marine climate cools the vineyards in the evenings and early mornings, allowing for longer fruit hang time control.
