A blend of grapes from our own vineyards in Stags Leap and Calistoga, as well as contract vineyards in Oakville, Rutherford and Howell Mountain.
The resulting wines boast incredible depth and complexity that is the quintessence of Napa Valley.
The wines produced using state-of-the-art winemaking facilities and from their own vineyards, perfectly located in the Stags Leap District, are among the best in Napa.
They do not produce Chardonnay, based on their policy that "Napa Valley is a land suitable for Bordeaux varieties."
With its modern winery and vineyard blocks named after classic rock songs, the winery foreshadowed a new era, and by employing the giant David Abreu as cultivation consultant, and Michel Rolland and later Philippe Melka as brewing consultants, the winery established a new era by pursuing a thoroughly high-quality approach.
At Abreu's invitation, Christopher Tynan joined the team in 2012, and in 2013 the winery became the first to achieve 100 points from Parker.
Tynan appointed Travis Bullard, who had supported the winery as an intern since 2010, as winemaker in 2021.
Tynan is expected to continue to play an active role as Director of Winemaking.
