Selected from 14 carefully selected fields in the Russian River Valley. Fermented in 75% stainless steel tanks and 25% concrete tanks. 4% whole-cluster fermentation. Aged for 16 months in French barrels and concrete tanks (44% new barrels), the juiciness and freshness resonate deeply. The elegant aroma of violets and hibiscus rises, and the nuances of plum and ripe candy apples and the velvety, supple mouthfeel are sensual. Deep, dark color, rich and dense, with a full fruitiness and tannin volume. Spices, mineral nuances, and a long finish.

Tasting Comments

Taste: The nose features gentle aromas of boysenberry, cherry, freshly baked pie, spices, black tea, and vanilla beans, while the palate features fresh notes of black cherry and juicy red plum, intermingled with a complex mix of earthy nuances and subtle hints of tobacco leaf.

The wine has lively acidity and silky, seductively gentle tannins in a well-balanced, high tone, with the leather-like characteristics of aged Pinot appearing on the finish.
