A blend of several vineyards in Petaluma Gap. Located on the slopes of the cool Petaluma Gap, the vineyards are mainly located in the slightly eastern part of the region, where they receive ample sunlight during the day. Aged in French barrels. Waiting for the sediment to fall naturally, unfiltered, and not artificially clarified, they believe that this method will ensure that even Pinot Noir remains opaque and does not reduce its flavor. Smooth on the palate, with a luxurious and rich taste. The tannins are very supple. Deep blue berry and beautiful orange flavors, impressive spiciness, and a complex flavor with many layers.
Technical information
Aged in French barrels (several different makers, including François Frères and Gamba), left to settle naturally, bottled unfiltered.
Tasting Comments
Owner Russell says, "The characteristic of the 2021 vintage is its smoothness on the palate. The flavor is luxurious and rich. The tannins are very supple, so you'll want to keep drinking it over and over again. It has deep blue berry flavors from the Carrera clone, beautiful orange flavors, impressive spiciness and a complex flavor with many layers, making it a very fascinating Pinot Noir."
