Vintage Information
In 2022, extremely hot days occurred in mid-September, so the grapes harvested before that had perfect acidity and freshness, while the grapes harvested after that had great structure, deep color, and luxurious fruitiness and power.
The perfect blend of these two ingredients creates a well-balanced finish.
Technical information
The grapes are gently crushed and then left to soak for 48 hours at low temperature to slowly develop the aromas and colours before entering the main fermentation.
After the main fermentation is complete, the wine is left to macerate for a further two weeks with the skins and stems to impart a mellow fruitiness.
After gentle pressing, the wine is aged for approximately six months in French and American barrels.
Tasting Comments

Fresh yet full-bodied, with slightly firm tannins giving it structure.
The aroma of ripe blackberries is enveloped in gentle nuances of sage, subtle hints of black pepper, vanilla, coffee and cigars.
The taut tannins are not too strong and lead to a smooth finish.
This is a wine that goes well with meals, and goes well with rib-eye steak, braised beef belly, charcoal-grilled meat dishes in general, and roast duck with a sweet sauce.

Field Information
This wine comes from a special plot of land in the southern part of Childs Valley, northeast of Napa Valley, an excellent vineyard used primarily by famous wineries.
Childs Valley is a long, narrow valley at an altitude of 250-300m, surrounded on both sides by mountains over 500m above sea level. It has a funnel-like shape, and it becomes cooler as you go deeper into the valley.
The southern side is blessed with plenty of sunlight and is a notable region that produces excellent Cabernet Sauvignon with a balanced acidity.
