The cool aroma of black fruits such as black currant, firm structure and fine tannins give the wine a harmonious flavor.
COMMENT
Like Marcel Lapierre and Pierre Auvernoy, Texier has been producing terroir-focused "natural wines" since the 1990s.
We produce wine mainly from the very small AOC "Côtes du Rhône-Brézème", which is about 23 hectares in size.
This wine is a modern, natural wine that Texier calls "Nature Moderne," which emphasizes each terroir. It features the delicate flavor of Syrah, which is grown in cool climates on limestone soils.
WINEMAKING
The soil is limestone, similar to Hermitage.
After fermentation with whole bunches, the wine is aged for 14 to 18 months in foudres and demi-muids (600L) barrels.
