Vines aged 20-25 years. Made from many parcels in the northern Rhone. Altitude 350m. Aged for about 7 months in 50% large barrels and 50% old small barrels. Born in 1961, Mr. Cuillon studied winemaking and cultivation at a vocational school, and took over his uncle's domaine in 1986. He has already reached the top level as a white wine producer in the Rhone region since his mid-30s, and especially owns a large 12ha vineyard in Condrieu, where he produces outstanding wines with complex, rich, well-balanced and deep flavors. The Vieilles Vignes made from old vines and the Récolte Tartives made from perfectly ripe grapes picked later are impressive. The vines are aged 15-60 years, and the grapes are harvested in a minimum amount while selecting the fully ripe grapes, and then carefully selected again on the selection table. The reds are fermented whole-cluster up to 30% depending on the year in cement and stainless steel tanks where temperature control is easy. The white wines are primarily fermented in barrels. After a long maceration period, they are aged in small barrels (10-100% new barrels) for 6-18 months. They are frequently batonnaged and bottled without filtering. They currently own 75 hectares, making them the largest domaine in the Northern Rhone. In 2016, they opened a new winery and adopted gravity flow, striving to produce even more outstanding wines.
