A fusion of European and Californian styles
Made with Chardonnay from Mistral Vineyard, a cool climate vineyard near the Pacific Ocean in the southern part of Monterey AVA. Fermented in stainless steel tanks and old French barrels with little influence from the barrels, then aged on the lees for six months. Aromas of apples, citrus fruits and honey. Lively acidity with apple and cream caramel flavors. Crispy aftertaste and long lingering finish.
Viña Robles is a winery located in West Robles. It was founded in 1996 by owner Hans Ness, who had his eye on the Paso Robles region. Hans Ness, who used to run restaurants, is famous as a Bordeaux wine collector and has a stronger passion for wine than anyone else. The winery welcomes Kevin Willenborg, who started his career at CH. Petrus, as winemaker, and produces well-balanced wines that combine the traditions of his native Europe with American innovation. He continues to produce sophisticated European-style wines in West Paso Robles.
