After fermentation in a stainless steel tank, it is pressed and returned to the tank to complete fermentation (as it is not mixed with the skins until the end, it has a mild flavor). It is then aged for about 6 months in barrels from France and the United States (both new and used for several years). It has a rich finish with plenty of fruitiness. Blackberries and spices blend together, giving it a concentrated yet smooth mouthfeel, with a pleasant oak nuance that lingers on the palate. It goes well with hamburger steak, tomato stew with cabbage rolls, roasted lamb with herbs, and meat pie. The 2020 VTG won a gold medal at the Sakura Awards.
