"BACK TO THE SOCAL" - It is a contest and a social media movement to curate things you miss from SOCAL....

Today with restrictions on international travel, for the travel-hungry crowd thinking “I could really use one of those sunsets on the Southern California beach right now!!”, this campaign will surely bring about that excitement and energy that’s smoldering in you…

Launching, October 1st, 2021, with the nation-wide State of Emergency being lifted, along with the California Wine Month taking place.

To get a head start on the coming future of unrestricted eating, drinking, traveling galore, why not be part of the campaign by sharing some of your best SOCAL travel memoire?

BACK TO THE SOCAL Campaign Overview

□Dates

October 1st ～ October 31st, 2021

□Prizes

Participation Reward:

All participants will be rewarded a ¥1,500 discount coupon which can be used at socalization.com.

Once post is confirmed, a coupon code link will be sent via DM. *To be used during October 2021, and for purchases of ¥5,000 and above.

Prize Winner:

2 winners per category, a total of 10 winners will be chosen.

If chosen, winners will be rewarded with an additional ¥20,000 (approx.) worth of wine products sold by SoCalization.

MSP Grand Prize (Most SoCalized Post) :

The winner (1 person) of the “Most SoCalized Post” will receive a luxurious set of 6 bottles of wine (approx. ¥50,000 worth, sold by SoCalization), along with a free first night in the Executive King Room at the Miyako Hotel LA, located in the center of Little Tokyo, downtown Los Angeles! Good access to public transport, and is in an ideal location for heading to Universal Studios, LA live etc. Valid until end of 2023. Just can’t wait to go BACK TO THE SOCAL!!

*We welcome participations from outside of Japan, but we can only ship prizes to addresses in Japan due to license limitations. Please consider gifting to your friends/family in Japan if you win from outside of Japan!

③ Post your SoCal travel memory photo(s) / video(s) @socalization and #BackToTheSoCal, and tell us how bad you miss SoCal! Instagram Stories are also welcome.

□Who Can Participate?

Those who traveled to/lived at the SOCAL (Southern California) area before, and have photos/videos to share.

*Purpose of travel can be anything – sightseeing, study abroad, business-related, etc.

□Where is SoCal?

Under this campaign, the area of SOCAL is defined as north of the San Diego border with Mexico, as far as San Luis Obispo county, Kern county, and San Bernadino county. Some well-known cities are, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara.

□Categories for Selection

YOLO CATEGORY

A story/episode where the participant tried something new with the “You Only Live Once!” spirit. – e.g. Tackled an expert level hiking course!

LOVE CATEGORY

A story/episode related to family, romantic partnerships, loved ones etc. – e.g. had a romantic moment sitting at the beach together, watching the sunset….🌅

RELAX CATEGORY

A story/episode related to a sheer relaxing moment. – e.g. just laid on the beach all day, clear mind, no anxieties, no problems, nothing.🏖️

FOODS CATEGORY

Any SOCAL culinary experiences. - e.g. Munching carne asada fries late night with friends after drinks.... Dragon sushi roll with those spicy mayo....?!🌯
